Seismic Shifts in Privacy: California and Beyond
1.5 substantive credits
When it goes into effect on January 1, 2020, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) will represent the most sweeping change in U.S. privacy law in years, affecting all companies that serve California residents and meet certain minimal requirements. The new law will reach many companies that have previously not been subject to significant privacy requirements, and many experts are predicting that other states will soon follow suit. Come hear Penn faculty and other experts discuss the impact of the CCPA and what to expect next on the privacy frontier.
