AIL Series II- Session 3: Advancing Inclusivity in the Legal Profession

1.0 Ethics/DEI Credits

Session III’s discussion focuses on how to advance inclusive leadership within changing dynamics of leadership in the legal profession. Wanji Walcott Executive VP, Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel at Discover Financial Services, explores what it’s like to be General Counsel at a Fortune 500 when only 5.3% of General Counsels are black. The conversation particularly focuses on methods that Wanji uses in her position to widen the path for POC behind her. Among others, we also discuss how stakeholders can hold corporations accountable on DEI pledges.
